To acknowledge Mental Health Week, and National Headspace Day, the crew from Bairnsdale Headspace, Kirsten and Marilyse, came along to Lakes Entrance Secondary yesterday. We held a BBQ which was a fundraiser for a family going through extremely challenging times in Omeo, had free give-a-ways in exchange for the students writing up 'when I'm Not in a good headspace, what makes me feel better?' The responses can be viewed on the library wall, and there were some great suggestions. Being with dogs came out a favourite! Our SLC made the day possible, with setting up and cooking the BBQ. Some young master chefs in the making! Our own DJ Fish-Dog provided some tunes for the lunch hour. Remember to always look out for each other, and check in with others by asking 'Are you OK?'
